Throwback Thursday | North PDX Vintage Tour

Lets take a little North Portland vintage tour, shall we?  Everyone likes themselves a good deal.  Especially Portlanders.  Particularly this Portlander.

On the list?  Kenton Antiques & Collectibles, Give & Take, St John's Vintage, Salvage Works and Pinwheel.

Kenton Antiques & Collectibles
8112 N Denver Ave
Legit shop with "oddities galore" (their words, not ours).  Vintage luggage, automotive accessories, old Playboys, art, and even a 1950's metal beverage jar...that I am still dreaming about for our next backyard soiree.

Give & Take
8128 N Denver Ave
Small-ish space with a lot of goodies packed in.  Fun furniture pieces, purses, clothing and home accessories.  I bought a bamboo chevron side table for our guest room.  The antique sofa frame and candelabra in their back space may require a return visit.

St Johns Vintage
8416 N Lombard
"Where Style Meets Vintage."  Good selection of men and women's clothing and some fun furniture pieces.  The shop is actually larger than one would expect with a large back room filled with furniture and art.

Salvage Works
2030 N Willis Blvd
Inspiration overload.  This place has building materials turned furniture, and doll heads turned planters.  Gorgeous selection of reclaimed materials, including raw edged wood.  On my mind still?  The prefab chicken coop for $400.

Pinwheel
7429 N Leavitt Ave
New kid on the block with a well refined selection including vintage finds and newly refinished antiques.  I bought a decorative brass bird clip for our bathroom gallery wall (hello, Lavender holder).  Their selection is bound to get better with time.

On my list for this weekend is Sabi and Friends Vintage.  It wasn't open when I took my self guided tour, but I'm pretty sure my nose marks are still all over their windows.  There was a lot of good stuff to see.

Hungry?  Proper Eats on Lombard was healthy and tasty.

What are your favorite Portland vintage shops?

Travel | Oregon Weekend

Huge fan of Airbnb.  Huge.  We are even considering listing our spare bedroom for rent once it's all fixed up.  Fun locations, "home" cooked meals, authentic experiences?  Sign me up.

As Summer speeds by, we've been looking for some fun weekend getaways.  Some pet friendly, others not (sorry, Cash).

A few of my favorites worth sharing!
