Please welcome Chu and Lou to the stage, formerly known as Lia and Jon.
Chu and Lou recently moved into their Portland home and one of their first endeavors was painting the Master a gorgeous navy (tip from the homeowners: primer is not an up sell tactic).
I'm not sure who is Chu and who is Lou, so I'll just say that Lia was concerned the room was going to go too Americana or Nautical and wanted some help.
Chu and Lou's new space plan is below, and you can find their Urban Perch designed Pinterest board here. I moved their bed in order to open the room up a bit and create a seating area for reading or relaxing.
Hurry and look soon! Many items selected were from Gilt and are available for a limited amount of time.
A few project details:
Avoid: Orange, Pea Green, Silver, Maroon
Likes: Navy, White, Pinks
Style: Shabby Chic, Vintage, Industrial, Eclectic
Want the room to feel: Clean and inviting with a touch of romance
Existing furniture: Bed and Dresser
I love pairing navy and black. I think it can look rich (as in
plush/opulent, not as in Trump). So the first order of business was the
recommendation to paint/stain their existing bed and dresser black
(it's a light pine).
This room has me swooning. I love how eclectic it feels. The textures are so much fun and perfect for a young couple! My favorite pieces are the Meloni Armchair from Home Decorators Collection (amazing price and review history), the Texture Study print from Gilt, and the Lisa Congdon designed triangle wallcovering.

eDesign | Michelle's Master Bedroom
The first e-design project is complete!
Check out Michelle's Master Bedroom. Her new space plan is below, and you can find her Urban Perch designed Pinterest board here (love that she's already started adding to it!).
A few project details:
Avoid: Mustard, Lime, Peach, Pink
Likes: Warm Tones
Style: Modern/Contemporary
Space Issues: Open Concept Bathroom
Existing furniture: Dressers and Bed
I would describe Michelle's style as comfortable contemporary. Think cozy furnishings, warm colors, and clean lines.
I used charcoal blue accents to add texture and color, and to tie in the attached bath. Love, love, love the sliding door to create some bathroom privacy. Also obsessed with the Urban Outfitters side tables (they sell more than t-shirts?) and the Personalized Family Pillow from Uncommon Goods!
The Jonathan Adler tic-tac-toe is just calling for a DIY alternative.
